This piece was created for an art contest. The prompt was "Isolation." I originally toyed around with a completely different idea but while walking down the street one day, a completely random sound or image (that I truthfully can't remember) reminded me of a music video I'd seen a few years ago about an old guy who lives by himself in a remote lighthouse. I remember it leaving me with a weird mixture of sadness, comfort, and mystery. Those feelings came rushing back with the reminder and this image materialized.
For the contest, I chose to scan the piece and add color for extra emphasis, mood, and focal point isolation.
This is an 8x10in art print on high quality, fine art paper.
