Clean Plate Club
Well guess what? For the first time in probably my ENTIRE LIFE, I have finished work ahead of schedule. I was already making good progress on both of the commissions I mentioned last month when a fortuitously timed "hey, we have a job opening, are you interested in talking to us?" conversation pushed me into an aggressive portfolio update. So, as of February SECOND, all three things on my "I just have to get these projects out of the way and then my life can truly begin" list are FINISHED.
I mean, that is noteworthy enough.
I almost feel like I should end the post here. Ha! Alas...
Now that those projects are finished, I'm at a "what next?" point in the business. I have a t-shirt design project that I'm starting this week. I'm applying to and preparing for a handful of comic cons that are coming up this Spring. Aside from that, I'm trying to decide if I want to go back to full time work. I mean, do I WANT to? Not really. Will it relieve some of my financial anxiety and clear space for more creativity within C&B's projects if I can optimize work/life balance? Very possibly.
This is reminding me that I need to make a pros/cons list about this.
Goals for this month:
- T-Shirt Designs
- A Personal Project (it's been too long)
- Start Prepping for Annapolis Comic Con on March 12th
- More clarity around this full time job decision
